Small Engine Repair
PACE offers an introductory class to small engine repair designed to help students gain knowledge and build skills for future employment. With and emphasis on hands-on learning, students will learn to apply technical knowledge and skills to maintain and repair small internal-combustion engines used on portable power equipment, such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, jet-skis, boat motors and other equipment using small engines. The course covers tool identification and proper took usage, also carburation and fuel injection, electrical, ignition and lubrication systems.
Career Inspiration Center
The Career Inspiration Center focuses on four main career pathways—Technology, Health, Agriculture, and Manufacturing. It offers hands-on learning experiences that help students learn and become more aware of these career options. Throughout the school year, students take part in engaging activities that spark their curiosity and enthusiasm in the four pathways. Our collaborative industry partners also connect with students via Zoom to share information about their industries at the end of the day.
Welding
PACE in partnership with Stanislaus Military Academy offers an introductory class designed to acquaint students with the basic principles of welding, and to prepare for the safe use of tools while completing basic welding projects. Materials and techniques for Welding are reviewed and students are provided with a variety of suitable projects for the beginning level welder.
Wood Shop
PACE in partnership with Stanislaus Military Academy offers an introductory class in woodworking. The class will expose students to the fundamentals of hand and machine tool safety in regards to wood while completing small and large scale projects. Students will gain life long skills that can be used in a career in the construction, carpentry or woodworking industry.
